UBT SRL (Umbria Bioengineering Technologies (www.ubt-tech.com), an Italian Benefit Company with Subsidiary in London, UK, is an innovative biomedical SME Company born in 2015 as academic Spin Off of University of Perugia (Physics Dept.) with the aim of developing medical imaging devices based on safe microwaves instead of dangerous ionizing radiation (x-rays). UBT's microwave imaging technology achieves the accuracy of x-rays without the risks and limitations associated with ionizing radiations. We have so far developed the following patented products:
- MammoWave ® (TRL 9): a novel device for breast lesions detection (already at Market);
- BrainWave (TRL 6): brain stroke detection & classification (Clinical Trial ongoing).
- LungWave (TRL 4): lung lesions detection & monitoring.
We envision a future where microwave-based medical imaging devices can provide better, safer and more inclusive care at lower costs to patients, healthcare providers, and the overburdened healthcare system.
