Information

The INTERCEPT™ Blood System consists of an INTERCEPT™ Processing Set for Platelets and Plasma, which uses amotosalen (a photoactive compound), and the INTERCEPT™ Illuminator, a medical device providing an ultraviolet A (UVA) light source. Together they are used in the ex vivo preparation and storage of pathogen inactivated Platelets and Plasma intended for transfusion. The INT200 INTERCEPT Illuminator, a compact and efficient pathogen inactivation system designed to simplify and streamline the process of treating platelets and plasma. The INT200 features an intuitive touch screen interface, intelligent scanning capabilities, and an improved tray design to enhance usability and operational efficiency. The system's contemporary vertical design allows for a smaller footprint and improved workflow in the blood component lab.
