Information
Agarose is a purified agar obtained from algae of the genus Gelidium. It is formed by polymers of alpha and beta galactoses and its qualities are divided into its gelling capacity, inactivity and innocuousness. These characteristics make it the ideal material for procedures such as DNA isolation, separation of PCR products, protein purification and electrophoresis. Condalab's agarose catalog is adapted to the different applications within molecular biology.
