The Vivalytic Bacterial Meningitis Test is a real-time PCR assay designed for the rapid detection of key bacterial pathogens causing bacterial meningitis. Using a cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) sample, it provides results in less than an hour, enabling early diagnosis and immediate antibiotic intervention. The test detects multiple species simultaneously, including Escherichia coli K1, Haemophilus influenzae, Listeria monocytogenes, Neisseria meningitidis, Streptococcus agalactiae, and Streptococcus pneumoniae K1. This point-of-care test supports fast and effective clinical decision-making, particularly for high-risk groups such as newborns, young children, and the elderly.
