The Vivalytic C. difficile Test is a real-time PCR assay designed for the rapid detection of Clostridioides difficile (C. difficile) toxin genes (tcdA/tcdB). Using swab samples from liquid or soft human stool specimens, it delivers results in less than 50 minutes, supporting early diagnosis and infection control. C. difficile infections (CDI) can range from mild diarrhoea to severe pseudomembranous colitis, with healthcare-associated transmission being a major concern. This test aids in prompt identification and effective clinical management of CDI cases.
