Information

The RADGIL2 X-Ray Blood Irradiator is a state-of-the-art system designed by the Italian company GILARDONI to prevent Transfusion-Associated Graft versus Host Disease (TA-GvHD), a rare but serious complication that can occur when transfused blood contains viable donor T lymphocytes. This X-Ray Blood Radiator offers a safer, more efficient alternative to traditional irradiators that use nuclear sources like Cesium137. Its ability to easily adjust the ionizing radiation dose makes it a versatile tool, suitable for a wide range of research applications, including the irradiation of cells, tissues, and bone marrow in lab animals, as well as other general research applications Key Features: • Irradiation Cycle: Capable of irradiating up to 6 x 300ml blood bags in just 4 minutes, delivering a dose range of 25 Gy to 30 Gy. A rotating canister ensures uniform dose distribution. • Flexible Irradiation Settings: With an adjustable radiation dose and exposure time (from 1 second to 99 minutes), this system can accommodate various treatment and research requirements. Seven possible Kv values (80, 100, 120, 140, 160, 180, 200 Kv) and four mA options (5, 10, 15, 20 mA) provide precise control over irradiation conditions. • Safety and Control: Equipped with a triple safety lock on the X-ray chamber sliding door and lockable settings panel to ensure safe operation. The instrument also includes acoustic and visual alarms. • Advanced Digital Display: Features a color touchscreen LCD with intuitive controls. Allows users to monitor and adjust treatment times and settings. • Operator Smartcard Access: Includes five initialized operator smartcards for secure and restricted access.
