HIP ABDUCTION BRACE
Internal, External Fixation, Support Immobilisers
Information
A hip abduction brace holds the hips in a wide, stable position (abduction) to treat pediatric hip dysplasia (DDH) or prevent dislocation after hip surgery. It uses foam, plastic, and straps to keep the femoral head correctly seated in the socket, typically worn nearly 24/7 as prescribed.
The goal of a hip brace is to stabilize your hip and pelvic area after trauma. It can also: Balance your walk. Limit range of motion.
