Fine needle aspiration devices are designed for cytological sampling, allowing clinicians to collect cellular material or fluid from nodules, cysts, or masses in organs such as the thyroid, lymph nodes, or salivary glands. These slender Chiba-type needles—such as the CytoCut—enable minimally invasive sampling under ultrasound guidance. They are also used in obstetrics and gynecology for procedures like amniocentesis or chorionic villus sampling.
