Compared to an external fixator or dorsal distraction plates, it does not stretch the carpal and carpometacarpal joints. After fusion, the patient can flex dorsally and palmarly by approx. 20°. Improves comfort of life in the first weeks of treatment (preserved wrist mobility). It is possible to improve the range of motion of the wrist after removal of the implant.
