The new Leonardo® DepthControl combines 1470 nm and 1940 nm energy for precise, controllable endovenous therapy. 1470 nm delivers the proven standard for safe and long-lasting vein closure, even for large diameters over 15 mm. 1940 nm works with a lower penetration depth, enabling finer, more tissue-friendly control in sensitive anatomical areas. The interaction between the two wavelengths in the mix allows the laser-tissue interaction to be precisely adjusted to the diameter, wall thickness, and nerve position of the vein. The energy remains thermally controlled, and lateral heat diffusion is maximally limited. This reduces pain, hematomas, and nerve irritation. The result: greater treatment safety, more flexibility, fewer postoperative complaints, and shorter recovery times for patients.
