Viruzyme VE

Viruzyme VE is Amitys NEW advanced generation mild alkaline enzyme cleaner. This powerful biological cleaner is formulated for the cleaning and decontamination of medical, surgical, dental, and endoscopic instruments and utensils, with a blend of five enzymes, delivering superior cleaning action without foaming or causing corrosion on instruments or washer/disinfectors. Its mild alkaline solution allows for a wide material compatibility and enhanced cleaning capability, supported by material compatibility studies. Viruzyme Ve has been developed for both automated and manual cleaning processes, to offer a versatile solution to all cleaning needs. Viruzyme Ve has been independently validated for use with Intuitive daVinci IS4000 (XI) 8mm basic instruments and IS4000 (XI) Stapler by an independent accredited test laboratory. The Viruzyme VE formulation meets the current recommendations of the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) for the reprocessing of medical devices to minimise the risk of transmission of the new variant Creutzfeldt Jakob Disease (vCJD) and removes biofilm in accordance with HTM 01-06 / EN ISO15883-2:2009+A1:2014, making it particularly effective for the removal of protein and organic contaminants from sensitive surfaces, including dried on blood and tissue. Viruzyme VE has also been validated by an independent accredited testing laboratory according to EN ISO 15883-4 for the reprocessing of flexible endoscopes when used together with Amity PAA 15. Amity has validated Viruzyme VE for enhanced cleaning performance, demonstrating that with this product, it may be possible to shorten WD cycle times, dosage or temperature, translating to cost, energy, plastic waste and chemical saving.
