BioClose - PDO Barbed Wire

The BIOCLOSE line is manufactured from an absorbable monofilament fiber, a synthetic polydioxanone compound, characterized by barbs along its length, oriented at acute angles relative to the central axis. These barbs are specifically designed to optimize tissue closure without the need for knots. Available in models with barbs oriented in a single direction (unidirectional) fitted with one needle and a terminal loop, as well as versions with barbs oriented in opposite directions (bidirectional) and coupled with two needles. They are contraindicated for suturing tissues under prolonged tension, or for fixation or use with non-absorbable prosthetic devices, such as heart valves or synthetic grafts. Developed for use in minimally invasive surgical procedures, it also offers excellent performance in other general procedures.
