Surgi-ORC® Oxidized Regenerated Cellulose (Similar to surgicel) hemostat is a natural, plant based Absorbable hemostat, Haemostatic made up of Oxidized Regenerated Cellulose (ORC) similar to surgicel, designed to stop capillary, venous and minor arteriolar bleeding. It has following features: 1. Hemostasis within 3 – 4 minutes 2. Natural, Plant based 3. Low pH creates bactericidal environment 4. Completely absorbed within 7–14 days 5. Can be cut into any desired dimension without fraying 6. Applied dry and can be laid on, held against or wrapped around a bleeding surface 7. High flexibility and drapability 8. Full absorption at the site of application without tissue reaction 9. In conformance with the requirements for Oxidized Regenerated Cellulose as described in the US-Pharmacopoeia (latest edition).
