Suspended shielding for the upper body (including ceiling track)
Tubes, Accessories

Information
Our stationary and movable installations of overhead protective lead shields help minimise the dose of scatter radiation to the head, lens of the eye, and upper body. When this upper body protection is combined with our table mounted shields (protecting the lower body and extremities) a safe and effective zone of occupancy is created.
Stationary installations include:
- Protective shield.
- Acrobat suspension arm (Valia system also available).
- 80 cm long ceiling column (other lengths available). The ceiling column has a spare pivot, equipped with an internal electrical connector for mounting a second suspension arm and another device; such as the lamp illustrated. 360 degrees of lateral rotation is available on some columns.
Movable installations:
- Protective shield.
- Suspension arm (as above).
- 80 cm long ceiling column (as above).
- 250 cm long patented heavy-duty aluminium ceiling track with a movable carriage. Track mounted devices can be moved and positioned in the working area or parked, up to 5.9 meters away.
- An optional second carriage provides independent movement of further attached devices, such as injectors, monitors, lamps or extra shields.
Wall mounted installation are also available.
Our patented ceiling track has a unique profile that holds an optional cable management system, where signal and supply cables are enclosed within an integrated energy chain. This arrangement eliminates the need for an unsightly cable festoon system where external sliding cable hangers restrict movement. The enhanced strength of the track enables two independently movable carriages to be incorporated with each carrying a ceiling column with two fully loaded suspension arms.
