The active ingredient of KOLISTATE is colistimethate sodium. It belongs to the antibiotic group called polymyxin. KOLISTATE, is used to cut off some infections in the human body caused by some types of bacteria. Like all antibiotics, KOLISTATE can cut off only some types of bacteria. Therefore, it is only suitable for the treatment of some types of infections
