Information

The ComfortHeal™ Contained Wound Irrigation System is a patented closed fluid management system that effectively removes biofilm and necrotic tissue using pulsed lavage pressure, with all cleansing procedures conducted in a sealed environment. It can be used directly at the patient’s bedside in any medical setting. The system is compatible with all powered irrigation devices and is available in two models: AB (Abdominal/Sacrum) and EB (Extremity/Head). Conventional wound irrigation typically requires high pressure of 5–15 psi and a sufficient volume of saline solution (commonly around 3 liters). Foreign debris and biofilm in wounds can lead to infection and delayed healing, and most studies indicate that an irrigation pressure of 8–12 psi is effective for removal. However, the most widely used methods—such as syringes or saline bottles—cannot deliver the consistent high pressure necessary for effective wound cleansing. Their limited volume requires frequent refilling, that causes delays in the irrigation process but also creates inconvenience for both healthcare providers and patients. • Right pressure • Portable - Wound cleansing can occur at any bedside • Can be used to eliminate biofilm in conjunction with - Negative pressure dressings, hyperbaric oxygen treatments • Reduces hospital and rehabilitation facility admissions and readmissions • Frees up valuable operating rooms and ICU ward space • Splash back protection • Right time • Location (hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, homecare without risk of contamination) • Never exceeds 15 psi • 2-speed or variable irrigation control • Increases patient and caregiver safety • Safe non-biohazard disposal (no free-flowing liquid after procedure) • Right volume • Proven to reduce biofilm by 86.9% • Patient pain and suffering is reduced significantly • Realized cost savings over in-hospital care cost effective - eliminates cost and time of operating room debridement https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IPN57qww0vU
