1. Device Description PAHSCO Wound Drainage Systems are sterile, disposable medical devices designed for the collection and removal of wound drainage fluids through a closed drainage system. The product family includes suction reservoirs, closed wound drainage systems, and surgical drains in various configurations and capacities. 2. Intended Use PAHSCO Wound Drainage Systems are intended for use in adult and pediatric patients who require wound drainage therapy following surgical procedures or trauma, to remove accumulated fluid and maintain a closed drainage environment. 3. Product Types and Components The PAHSCO Wound Drainage Systems product family includes, but is not limited to, the following device types: -P-vac reservoirs -Pre-vac closed wound drainage system -Closed wound drainage system, bulb type (Evacuator) -Closed wound drainage system, bellow type -Flexible surgical drains with fluted or perforated openings Surgical drains are available in round or flat profiles, with various diameters, lengths, and configurations, and may be supplied with or without trocar, depending on the model. 4. Functional Features Depending on the model, the systems may incorporate one or more of the following features: *Pre-generated or manually generated vacuum for wound drainage *Visual indicators for monitoring vacuum status *Secure connectors designed to minimize unintended air leakage 5. Sterility and Usage Limitation All devices are supplied in a sterile state and are intended for single use only. Certain reservoir-based systems are not intended to be used for more than 7 days.
