New for 2024: a brighter, clearer view with LED otoscope illumination
The popular choice for hospital and Gen Med use, the Practitioner Ophthalmoscope and Practitioner Otoscope Corded Unit is available with either halogen bulb or LED light source. The new LED otoscope provides 2.5x greater brightness (lux) compared to the equivalent otoscope with a halogen bulb light source.
The corded units (complete with lockable heads and handles) are ideally suited for hospital wards, no risk of device theft or misplacement.
Practitioner ophthalmoscope features:
Available with either LED or xenon bulb illumination
The positive maywheel lens control allows you to select a range of lens powers from +40D to -25D for detailed examination of the ocular structures
Includes 4 apertures beams (wide angle, intermediate, macular and slit) and a fixation cross graticule
Includes 2 filters: a blue filter for assessing corneal scratches in children, and a red free filter for vessel examination, ideal for diabetic assessment and monitoring
Soft integral brow rest for spectacle wearers
Practitioner otoscope features:
Unobstructed open style head for easy introduction of small instruments for wax or foreign body removal
Large slide aside 2.5x lens for clear view of aural structures and procedures under magnification
Can be used with either permanent or disposable specula
Now available with LED illumination providing 2.5x greater brightness (lux) vs halogen bulb model
The well-established “golden illumination” of the halogen bulb remains available
Corded Unit features:
Compact wall mounted design is ideal for ward, consulting room and casualty use
