Barcelona Medical Destination (BMD) is a program run jointly by the Government of Catalonia through the Catalan Tourist Board and the Tourist Board of Barcelona, in partnership with the two main medical associations: “Barcelona Medical Centre” and “Barcelona International Hospitals”. This platform brings together the leading medical centers, hospitals, and clinics with international prestige and quality intending to promote Barcelona and Catalonia as a destination of specialized medical care, based on high complex treatments, and on the medical excellence of the centers of Barcelona.
