Information
The Zimmer Biomet Arcos® Modular Femoral Revision System is a highly adaptable hip revision implant platform engineered to address complex femoral bone loss and challenging revision total hip arthroplasty cases by providing surgeons with extensive customization and intraoperative flexibility.
It features three proximal body options and five distal stem geometries, which together offer 117 proximal/distal combinations so surgeons can tailor the implant precisely to a patient’s anatomy and bone defect pattern. The design includes standard and high offset choices to better reproduce individual leg length and biomechanics, 1 mm size increments for accurate femoral fitting, and roller-hardened taper junction technology for improved fatigue strength.
Auxiliary fixation options like bolt and claw attachments help secure trochanteric fragments, while a clinically proven PPS® porous plasma spray coating promotes initial stability and long-term biologic fixation. The system’s streamlined, easy-to-use instrumentation also enhances surgical efficiency by simplifying intraoperative decision-making and reducing instrument burden compared to traditional revision systems.
